Hannah's Alphabet Crown

I am very proud to announce that Hannah has earned her Alphabet Crown at school on Friday. To earn the Alphabet Crown, the students must recognize all the letters of the alphabet, in random order, know what the vowels are, pronounce the letters correctly and know what sound(s) each letter makes. For example, the letter r doesn't say "rrrrr" it says "ruh".

At first I wasn't aware that they were so strict on the pronunciations, until she didn't get it on a day they were passing them off, and the teacher told me that she was SO close, but couldn't pronounce a couple of the letters correctly. So, we worked really hard and she got it!

We took Hannah out for ice cream on Saturday to celebrate her great achievement. She is so proud of her hard-earned Alphabet Crown! Congratulations, Hannah!! :)
